Privacy Policy

Chlamys Piste Inc. (CPI)  |  techinpeace.com

Effective date: September 24, 2026    Last updated: October 25, 2026

1.Our privacy promise

We help people protect their data. We hold ourselves to the same standard.

We collect the least information we need to run our domain and website security scanner, send our newsletter, and follow up with you by phone or text when you ask us to. We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it. We do not use it for cross-site behavioral advertising. We do not share your phone number with anyone for their own marketing.

This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

2.Who we are

Chlamys Piste Inc. ("CPI," "we," "us") is a Delaware corporation and a security and AI consulting firm based in New York, New York. We operate techinpeace.com and related pages, forms, and tools (together, the "Services").

This policy covers three Services:

It does not cover paid client engagements. Those are governed by your service agreement and any data processing terms signed with it.

3.Information we collect

3.1 Domain and Website Security Scanner

The scanner reads public records that anyone on the internet can see. It does not log in to your systems, test passwords, or try to break anything.

What we collectWhy we collect itRequired?
Domain name you enterTo run the scanYes
Public DNS, email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), SSL/TLS, HTTP security header, and website software (such as PHP) results for that domainTo produce your reportYes (created by the scan)
Email address, from the optional email field on the scan form or passed by an app that runs the scan for youTo send you the reportOptional. The scan works without it
Your newsletter choice and the time you ticked the boxTo send the newsletter only if you ask, and to prove you askedOptional. The box is unchecked unless you tick it
Name, organization, roleTo tailor the report and any follow-upOptional
IP address, browser type, time of requestTo stop abuse, rate-limit automated scans, and keep the tool runningYes (collected automatically). For the scan limit we store only a scrambled form of your IP address, never the address itself

We check only the public records attached to your domain. We never read your inbox or ask for a password. Your email is used to send this report, and the newsletter only if you tick the box.

Each scan gets a private report link so you can come back to your results. The page behind it shows the scan results only, never your email address. The link stops working when the scan record is deleted (see Section 9).

Only scan domains you own or have permission to assess. By using the scanner, you confirm you have that authority. We may block scans we believe are abusive.

3.2 Newsletter

You can join the newsletter list by ticking "Also send me the monthly Tech in Peace newsletter." under the email field on the scan form. The box is unchecked by default, and running a scan never adds you on its own. We send the newsletter through Substack and Gumroad.

How to unsubscribe: every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link. Click it and you are off the list. You can also email us and we will remove you.

What we collectWhy we collect itRequired?
Email addressTo deliver the newsletterYes
First nameTo personalize the greetingOptional
Topics or industry you pickTo send content that fits youOptional
Sign-up date, source, and consent recordTo prove you opted inYes (collected automatically)

Giving us your phone number is never a condition of using the scanner, reading the newsletter, or buying our services.

Chlamys Piste Inc. (CPI)  |  techinpeace.com

Effective date: September 29, 2026    Last updated: October 21, 2026

Plain-language summary: These Terms are the rules for using techinpeace.com and our tools. By using the site, you agree to follow them. They cover what you can and cannot do, what our free domain and website security scanner is (and is not), who owns what, and what happens if something goes wrong.

1.Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Chlamys Piste Inc., a Delaware corporation ("CPI," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using techinpeace.com and any related pages, forms, and tools (together, the "Site" and the "Services"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy above. If you do not agree, do not use the Site or the Services.

2.Who may use the Services

The Services are for businesses and adults. You may use them only if you are at least 18 years old. By using the Services, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you give us is true and complete.

3.The Domain and Website Security Scanner

The Domain and Website Security Scanner (the "Scanner") reads public records about a website or email domain, such as DNS, email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), SSL/TLS, and HTTP security headers. It also reads the public response from the website's home page for signs of the software it runs, such as PHP and its version. It turns the results into a grade and a list of suggested next steps.

4.Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5.Intellectual property

The Site and its content, including software, designs, text, graphics, logos, videos, and workshop materials, are owned by CPI or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Site and Services for their intended purpose. You get no other rights.

The names "Cyber Protection Consulting," "Tech in Peace," and "techinpeace," and our logos, belong to CPI. You may not use them without our written permission.

6.Your information and content

You keep ownership of what you give us, such as the domain you enter, your form answers, and anything you send by email or text ("Your Content"). You grant CPI a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use Your Content only as needed to run the Services for you, provide the reports and follow-up you ask for, protect the Services from abuse, and comply with the law.

How we handle personal information, including that we do not publish your individual scan results and do not use your information to train AI models without your separate permission, is described in our Privacy Policy above. If these Terms and the Privacy Policy differ on how personal information is used, the Privacy Policy controls. You confirm that you have the right to give us Your Content.

7.Feedback

If you send us ideas or suggestions, you agree that we may use them without any obligation or payment to you.

8.Newsletter, calls, and text messages

We send the newsletter only to people who sign up. We make marketing calls and send marketing texts only after you give prior express written consent. Consent is not a condition of using the Services or buying anything from us. You can opt out at any time, for example by replying STOP to a text or using the unsubscribe link in an email. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any written agreement we sign with you, are the entire agreement between you and CPI about the Site and Services. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of that right.
